Veitchi Group are now in partnership with Glasgow Children’s Charity Hospital. A charity that provides life-changing equipment, support, and services to children and families across Scotland. By doing the Step Challenge last year, we managed to raise an astounding £10,000 for this amazing charity (photo attached issuing cheque to GCHC).
The Royal Hospital for Children is a national hospital due to the national specialisms only available in Glasgow for children. These are as follows:
- Cardiac – any child with a heart condition or who requires open heart surgery will come to Glasgow from across Scotland
- Kidney & Liver Transplants – children will travel to Glasgow from across Scotland for dialysis treatment
- Cleft Palate Surgery
The Children’s Hospital in Glasgow is also the main trauma centre for children in Scotland. This map shows the annual visits to the Royal Hospital for Children from each area in Scotland.
