During 2021 the staff and company, although restricted in their fundraising efforts due to Covid, haven’t stopped trying to raise money for worthy causes.
We continue with our successful GAYE scheme, which celebrates it’s 21st birthday this year. Contributions made by staff via their salaries, are matched pound for pound by the company.
We have also continued with dressing down days at our Cambuslang office where staff pay to dress down on the last Friday of every month.
Furthermore, in celebration of the lifting of lockdown restrictions we had a ‘Step Out of Lockdown challenge’ in April . Staff paid to participate in the challenge with all funds raised being put into our charity pot, the company also matched funds raised. The worthy winners, Chris Lewis and Chloe Brown received an extra annual day’s holiday.
Remaining with a sporting theme we held a Euros Sweepstake and raffle which we are pleased to say most Group staff participated in, so much so we had to run 2 sweepstakes.
Finally, Flooring staff organised charity polo shirts. The company organised and paid for the production of the polo shirts which contained the company logo and Breast Cancer Now and Prostate Cancer Scotland. Staff members purchased these with all funds raised being put into our charity pot.
Overall, we have donated over £16,000 to worthy causes in a year which has definitely been challenging for many. It’s particularly pleasing to be able to circulate these funds to the charities at this time of year when coming up to Christmas many will be struggling more so this year than any other.
We hope to continue with our charity fund raising efforts in 2022.
