The Veitchi Group are Proud to announce that Jack Gray of Veitchi Flooring won the Contract Flooring Association / Contract Flooring Journal Apprentice of the Year award 2021. This is a UK national award which Jack won in the face of very stiff competition this year.
Jack was noted for his enthusiasm and energy as well as his technical ability. He also produced a short video to wow the judges and his award and prizes were presented to him in the Veitchi value trade school by CFA president Hamish McGregor. Jack is pictured below with some of his prizes, enough to start up his own flooring company by the looks of it!
John Brown Managing Director of Veitchi Flooring commented, “In 2017 Veitchi identified a requirement to invest in apprentices and constructed its own trade school where apprentices can work on key skills away from a pressured live working environment. Jack is a product of this and a shining example of what investing in your staff can achieve. Jack epitomises Veitchi value joining from school age 16 and is now in his third and final year of his apprenticeship and we are extremely proud of his achievements.
