Richardson & Starling Senior Surveyor Bill Beaton has decided to hang up his damp meter after two spells with the company spanning back to 1977 and covering nearly 20 years service. Bill took some time out to pursue a career as a technical teacher at Jordanhill college before returning to rot in 2013 to see out his career in preservation.
Bill was an invaluable member of the team enhancing it with both his technical knowledge and wit. He was a great asset to the company and will be sorely missed, so much so in fact that we will be calling upon his services as a consultant to ensure that his expertise is not lost from the firm.
We wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement and hope that he will continue to enjoy the odd cream tea which we know he is partial to.
Bill is seen here with a socially distanced Graham Bruce, Richardson & Starling’s Managing Director being presented with a gift from his colleagues and the Group to mark his time with us.
