Veitchi Interiors were requested to undertake essential works on the following projects:
Lossiemouth – Defence critical project.
A new strategic facility at RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, Scotland. Once completed, the facility will be the home of the UK’s P-8A Poseidon fleet of nine aircraft. The facility, with a steel structure 19 metres high, 165 metres long and 100 metres wide, is equal to 1.5 times the size of BT Murrayfield Stadium and is large enough to park 280 double decker buses. Veitchi Interiors are installing 16000m2 of suspended ceilings within the support offices and flight simulator facilities. It will hold three aircraft, as well as maintenance space, planning rooms and office space. There will also be pilot simulators for training. Around 650 jobs will be created once completed, with many of those working on the project local to the Moray area.
Aviemore Community Hospital – NHS Critical Project
Construction is under way for the new Badenoch & Strathspey Community Hospital and Health Care Centre in Aviemore for NHS Highland. The new hospital will have 24-beds, 12 consulting/treatment rooms, an Accident & Emergency department and x-ray facilities. It will also provide accommodation for the Aviemore GP practice along with community health and care teams. There will also be physiotherapy and occupational therapy services, chemotherapy, a midwife service and a Scottish Ambulance Service base. Veitchi Interiors are installing metsec steel framing to all external elevations and are also constructing all of the internal plasterboard partitions.
Skye Community Hospital – NHS Critical Project
Veitchi is scheduled to begin work in late June on the new Skye, Lochalsh & South West Ross Community Hospital at Broadford on Skye. The new health facility will have 24-beds, a midwife-led community maternity unit, a minor injuries unit, a dental surgery, x-ray and ultrasound facilities. Veitchi Interiors are installing metsec steel framing to all external elevations
Ninewells Hospital – NHS Critical Project
Veitchi is also scheduled to begin work in late June on the Children’s Theatre Suite project at Ninewells Hospital. Veitchi’s works consist of metsec steel framing to external elevations.
