Following Breast Cancer Awareness day on Friday 23rd October, the office staff at Veitchi’s Head Office decided to have a Breast Cancer Awareness week to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now. The staff at Cambuslang Way dressed in pink all week to help raise awareness and show our support for a cause that is very close to all our hearts.
Breast Cancer Now funds world-class research into breast cancer, offers life-changing care with expertly trained staff and volunteers and offers the support that anyone who is diagnosed with breast cancer needs to help them deal with the physical and emotional impacts of the disease.
Over the course of the week we raised funds through a small raffle with prizes kindly donated by a handful of staff members, we had 3 football cards in circulation and staff generously gave dress-down donations. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions this was an unusual way of raising funds for a charity but that didn’t stop the staff from raising an amazing total of £650.34 which the company matched meaning the grand total raised is £1,300.68!!
