After lockdown the Veitchi value charity committee has been able to distribute monies collected since the company’s return to operations. We earmarked two of our favourite charities The Jeely Piece Club, in Castlemilk and the Rutherglen and Cambuslang Foodbank (Camglen covid) for this support from monies generated through our Give as you Earn scheme and branch collections.

Chloe Brown is seen here presenting a cheque for £500 to Frances Grant manager of Camglen Covid. The much-needed funds going to provide food parcels for needy families in the Rutherglen and Cambuslang areas

The cheque for £350 will go towards providing outdoor coveralls for the children to assist with their stay & play and pop up play sessions which take place in partner sites, outdoor spaces, woodlands and Primary Schools. The Jeely Piece Club cares for children between 0 and 12 years old and provides play and learning opportunities for children regardless of status or circumstance.
