Why Veitchi? The company name is derived from the Veitchii Boston Ivy - an attractive clinging vine - to convey the adherence of our flooring products.
1912 -Veitchi flooring was laid onRMS Titanicon both stairways and cabins in Third Class areas of the ship.
1917 -On 20th March 1917, Veitchi is registered with Companies House and incorporated as a company with its roots in the shipping industry. Veitchi (Holdings) Ltd - Company registration number 9798. Our company registration number is only 4 digits long demonstrating that we are one of the longest established Scottish companies still trading.
1935 - Richardson & Starling is formed in High Wycombe on 24th June 1935 as a company specialising in damp proofing and timber decay treatment. Over the intervening years, Veitchi grows in to a business consisting of industrial flooring, soft floor coverings and interior fit out operation.
1982 - Richardson & Starling (Northern) Ltd is purchased by Veitchi (Holdings) Ltd and continues to operate as a building preservation and repair business.
2010 - Veitchi Homes is established as a niche developer of homers in North East Scotland
2017 - Veitchi Group are celebrating its centenary incorporation date!
